Best known for Mansion House, home of Sir George Grey (Governor of New Zealand 1845-1853 and 1861-1868) who imported a wide variety of animal species including the existing wildlife (wallabies, kookaburras, peacocks) as well as several species of plants and trees. Walking tracks, historic house, old copper mine site.
